The Princess of Slytherin
In their fifth year, Draco Malfoy returns to Hogwarts as Diana, embracing her true identity as a girl. Harry Potter struggles with his feelings for her, unable to look away from her beauty. A moonlit encounter on the astronomy tower leads to a confession and a kiss, sparking an unexpected romance between the former enemies.
The Great Hall buzzed with the usual chatter of returning students, but a palpable tension hung in the air. At the Slytherin table, a figure sat poised, platinum hair cascading over slender shoulders, green and silver robes draping a form that was unmistakably feminine. Draco Malfoy was no more. In her place sat Diana Malfoy, the Slytherin princess, as the whispers called her.
The transformation had been gradual, then sudden. After a summer of painful honesty with her parents, Draco had emerged as Diana, embracing the truth she had buried for years. The wizarding world, ever adaptable, had accepted her with surprising ease—or at least, they had learned to keep their opinions to themselves. At Hogwarts, the news had spread like wildfire, but the students, for all their gossip, had mostly moved on. The only thing that had truly changed, as many noted, was her appearance.
Harry Potter, however, could not move on.
He sat at the Gryffindor table, forcing himself to eat, but his gaze kept drifting to the Slytherin table. Diana laughed at something Pansy said, her voice lighter than Draco’s had ever been. She was beautiful—there was no denying that. Her features had softened, her jawline less sharp, her cheeks touched with a hint of pink. But it was her eyes that haunted him: still grey, still sharp, still full of that familiar Malfoy arrogance. Yet now they held something else, something he couldn't name.
Their first encounter had been disastrous. In the corridor, she had bumped into him, her books scattering. He had stooped to help, his hand brushing hers. She had snatched her hand away, her cheeks flushing.
"Watch where you're going, Potter," she had snapped, but her voice wavered.
"You started it, Malfoy," he had retorted, but the words felt hollow.
He couldn't look at her. Not in the eyes. Not at her face. Because when he did, his gaze inevitably dropped to her chest, to the gentle swell of her breasts beneath her robes. They were perfect—too perfect. He had never thought of Malfoy that way, but now… now he couldn't stop.
It was a moonlit night when he found himself on the astronomy tower, seeking escape from his own thoughts. The door creaked, and he turned to see her stepping out onto the balcony.
"Potter," she said, her voice neutral.
"Malfoy," he replied, his heart pounding.
She walked to the railing, looking up at the stars. "Couldn't sleep either?"
He shook his head, then realized she wasn't looking. "No."
Silence stretched between them, heavy with unspoken words. She turned to face him, the moonlight casting silver shadows on her face.
"You've been avoiding me," she said. It wasn't a question.
"I haven't."
"Liar." Her lips curved into a faint smile. "I know you, Potter. You can't even look at me."
He forced himself to meet her eyes. "I'm looking now."
Her grey eyes held his, and for a moment, the old animosity flickered. But then it softened into something else, something vulnerable.
"Why?" she asked softly. "Why can't you look at me?"
His throat tightened. "You know why."
"Tell me."
He stepped closer, his heart hammering. "Because you're… you're beautiful. And I don't know how to hate you anymore."
She laughed, a sound like breaking glass. "You don't hate me? That's new."
"No," he whispered. "I don't."
She reached out, her fingers brushing his cheek. He flinched, but didn't pull away. Her touch was warm, gentle.
"I don't hate you either," she said. "I never did."
He caught her hand, holding it against his face. "Diana…"
She leaned in, and he met her halfway. Their lips touched, soft and tentative. It was nothing like he had imagined. It was better. Her scent filled his senses, lavender and something uniquely her. He pulled her closer, feeling the curves of her body against his. His hand found her waist, then slid up, resting just below her ribs. He could feel the rapid beat of her heart.
She broke the kiss, breathless. "Harry…"
His name on her lips was a revelation. He kissed her again, deeper this time, his hand moving up to cup her breast. She gasped into his mouth, but didn't push him away. Her own hands tangled in his hair.
They stood there, wrapped in each other, as the stars wheeled overhead. The war, the houses, the past—all of it melted away. There was only this moment, this truth.
"I never thought this would happen," she murmured against his lips.
"Neither did I," he admitted. "But I'm glad it did."
She smiled, a real smile, and he realized he had never seen her truly happy before. It transformed her.
"What do we do now?" she asked.
He took her hand, interlacing their fingers. "We figure it out. Together."
And as the first light of dawn crept over the horizon, they stood side by side, two former enemies, now something more. The Slytherin princess and the Gryffindor hero, bound by a love neither had expected.
It was a new beginning.
