'You can't play a broken laptop,' Sofia had said. 'And you can't sing about heartbreak if you're the one causing it.'

So Lia went. The boy behind the counter had dark hair that fell over his forehead and headphones around his neck. He didn't look up when she set the laptop down. He just pulled it toward him, fingers moving over the keyboard like he was playing an instrument only he could hear.

She laughed, and it came out wet. 'I've been in love with you for three months, Noah. I think I want to know everything.'

He reached for her hand. His fingers were warm. 'I made you a playlist,' he said. 'For after the show. It's called 'For the girl who finally asked.'

Lia pulled him onto the stage. Her friends cheered. The lights were too bright. Her heart was too full. But when Noah leaned in and kissed her, soft and certain, she finally understood: some things don't need a name to be real. They just need someone brave enough to ask.

And she had. Finally.

After the show, they sat on the steps outside the auditorium, sharing earbuds. The playlist was perfect. Every song was about finding something you thought you'd lost. Noah's shoulder was warm against hers. Sofia, Leo, and Ben were packing up inside, pretending not to watch.

'So,' Noah said. 'What happens now?'

Lia smiled. 'Now we write the next song.'

'About what?'

'About a boy from IT and a girl who finally learned his name.'

He kissed her again. And for the first time in months, Lia didn't feel like a broken machine waiting to be fixed. She felt like music.
