Iron Angel
Alita, a cyborg warrior from a distant world, is transported to the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the Battle of New York. She fights alongside the Avengers against the Chitauri invasion, proving herself a formidable ally. After helping to defeat Loki and his army, she is welcomed by the heroes and finds a new purpose protecting this world.
The sky above New York was a canvas of chaos. Chitauri war machines streaked through the smoke-filled air, their weapons raining destruction upon the streets below. Captain America barked orders, Iron Man flew in blazing arcs, and Thor's hammer sent shockwaves through the alien ranks. It was a battle for Earth, for humanity, and for the very soul of a world that had never known such cosmic violence.
Amid the rubble and screams, a figure landed with impossible grace. She was small, barely five feet tall, but her posture radiated a lethal confidence. Her body was a fusion of flesh and gleaming metal, her eyes bright with a fire that spoke of battles long past. This was Alita, the last of the Berserkers, a warrior from a fallen world that had never known peace. How she had come to this universe, she did not know. One moment she was battling a wicked cyborg in the Iron City; the next, a rift of light swallowed her whole and spat her out into a nightmare of flying serpents and beam weapons.
A Chitauri glider dove at her, its pilot screeching. Alita reacted on instinct. Her feet, forged from a rare alloy, dug into the asphalt as she leaped, spinning through the air. Her blade, the Damascus Steel sword she had carried across worlds, flashed. In a single fluid motion, she severed the glider's wing, sending it spiraling into a building. She landed, rolled, and came up facing a squad of Chitauri soldiers. They fired plasma rifles. Alita moved like water, dodging and weaving, closing the distance in a heartbeat. Her sword carved through them, each stroke precise, economical, deadly.
Tony Stark's HUD highlighted the newcomer. "JARVIS, who's the new girl?"
"Unknown, sir. Her biodata does not match any known human or Asgardian database. She appears to be heavily cybernetic."
"Great, another mystery. Let's hope she's friendly." Tony banked and fired a repulsor blast into a Chitauri tank, then hovered near Alita. "Hey, sparkles! You need backup?"
Alita looked up, her eyes narrowing. She had never seen such an armored being. "I do not require assistance. But I will not refuse a battle partner."
Tony's faceplate lifted. "Well, that's refreshing. Name's Iron Man. Welcome to New York's worst day ever."
"I am Alita. I do not know this place, but these creatures are enemies of life. That is enough."
"Amen to that. Stick with me, kid." He sealed his helmet. "We've got a big one coming."
Together, they fought. Alita's agility complemented Tony's firepower. She climbed walls, leaped between rooftops, and used her sword to deflect energy bolts back at their attackers. When a Leviathan—a massive serpent-like warship—plowed through a skyscraper, Alita did not hesitate. She ran full tilt, jumped onto its hide, and began climbing toward its vulnerable underbelly. Tony watched in amazement as she found a seam in the armor and drove her sword deep, then triggered the Berserker charge in her own body. A pulse of energy coursed through the blade, and the Leviathan shuddered, its internal circuits frying. It crashed into the street, throwing up a cloud of debris.
Captain America rallied his team. "Iron Man, who is that?"
"New friend, Cap! Let's make sure she survives this."
Alita ripped her sword free and stood amid the wreckage. She saw a man with a star-spangled shield staring at her. She nodded once, a warrior's greeting. Then she spotted a woman with red hair dispatching Chitauri with guns and acrobatics. And another man, this one huge and green, who roared and smashed aliens like they were toys. The Hulk. Alita had never seen such raw power. She felt a kinship with him—both of them were weapons, forged for war.
The climax came at Stark Tower. A portal above spewed more Chitauri, and a single figure—a man in a golden helmet with scepter—descended. Loki. He smiled at the Avengers. "How you must suffer, clinging to this world so desperately."
"You talk too much," said Black Widow.
Alita stepped forward. "You are the one who opened this rift?"
Loki looked at her, intrigued. "And what have we here? A machine girl with delusions of heroism."
"I am no machine. I am a warrior." Alita charged.
Loki raised his scepter and fired a beam. Alita sidestepped, closing with blinding speed. She swung her sword; Loki parried with the scepter, the impact sending shockwaves across the rooftop. They traded blows—he was fast, but she was relentless. Her eyes, the only remaining human part of her, burned with determination. Loki tried to use his illusions, but Alita's instincts were honed by years of combat in the Scrapyard. She saw through the tricks, tracking his true movements by the faint humming of his armor.
Thor landed nearby. "Lady, you are brave. Let me handle my brother."
"He is your enemy? Then he is mine." Alita did not yield.
With a final flourish, she disarmed Loki. His scepter clattered away. He snarled and conjured a dagger, but before he could strike, Iron Man blasted him, and the Hulk grabbed him, slamming him into the floor. Alita stood back, breathing hard. The fight was ending.
Tony landed beside her. "Not bad, kid. You want a job?"
Alita looked at the chaos around her—the city in ruins, the heroes exhausted. "This is your world. It is beautiful and broken. I will help you protect it, if you will have me."
Captain America approached. "We could use someone like you. But we need to know where you come from."
Alita sheathed her sword. "That is a long story. Perhaps for later. Right now, there are wounded to save."
She turned and walked into the rubble, beginning the work of a hero. Tony watched her go. "JARVIS, mark that as a good day."
"Indeed, sir. And might I suggest offering her an upgraded suit?"
"Way ahead of you."
And so Alita found herself in a new world, standing alongside legends. She was no longer the last of her kind; she was the first of a new one—an Iron Angel, forged in battle, reborn in hope.
