Love's Grand Line

The island of Koi Koi pulsed with an iridescent pink haze, and the Thousand Sunny had barely anchored before Luffy was bounding onto the sand, shouting about food. Trafalgar Law followed at a more measured pace, his eyebrow twitching. "Straw Hat-ya, we're here for information, not a feast."

"But I'm hungry!" Luffy's stomach growled in agreement.

Behind them, the rest of the Straw Hats and their allies spread out. Sabo and Ace were bickering over who got to explore which part of the island. Marco perched on a rock, scanning for threats. Monkey D. Dragon stood silently, his presence a storm waiting to break. Even Crocodile and Rob Lucci had tagged along, lured by rumors of a treasure that could rewrite history.

"This place feels wrong," Law muttered, his hand on Kikoku.

Before anyone could reply, a giggle echoed from the trees. A woman with swirling pink hair emerged, her eyes glowing. "Welcome to my island! I'm Lola, the Love-Love fruit user. Every year, I cast a spell to spread love!"

"Love? We don't need—" Law started, but Lola clapped her hands. A wave of pink shimmer swept over the group.

Luffy blinked. He felt… fuzzy. He looked at Law. "Hey, Tora-o, you look… sparkly."

Law's heart skipped. Why did Straw Hat-ya's voice sound like music? He felt a warmth spreading through his chest. "Luffy…" The name slipped out, soft and unfamiliar.

Across the beach, Ace wrapped his arms around Sabo. "I always knew you were my favorite brother!"

Sabo nuzzled into Ace's neck. "No, you're mine!"

Marco sighed, but when he turned to Dragon, his eyes widened. "You have a very regal air, Revolutionary."

Dragon coughed. "You're not so bad yourself, Phoenix."

Crocodile and Lucci were locked in a glaring contest, but their faces were flushed. "Don't get any ideas, pigeon," Crocodile hissed.

"The feeling is mutual, sandbag."

Meanwhile, Nami was trying to shake off the effect, clinging to Zoro. "This is so stupid!"

Luffy took a step toward Law, his grin bright. "I really like you, Law! You're always so cool!"

Law's composure shattered. He grabbed Luffy's wrist. "Shut up. You're going to make me say something embarrassing."

"Like what?"

"Like I've wanted to kiss you since Dressrosa!"

The crew froze. Luffy tilted his head. "Then why didn't you?"

"Because you're an idiot!"

Luffy laughed and pulled Law into a hug. "I don't mind being an idiot if you're with me."

Lola watched from the shadows, clapping her hands. "Perfect! The spell will wear off in an hour. Enjoy the love!"

"Wait, an hour?!" Law shouted, but Luffy's lips were already on his.

The next hour was chaos. Ace and Sabo built a sandcastle shaped like their childhood treehouse. Marco preened Dragon's coat. Crocodile and Lucci ended up arm-wrestling, then stared at each other with dawning horror. And Luffy refused to let go of Law, dragging him to a secluded cove where they sat watching the sunset.

"This isn't real," Law muttered.

"Feels real," Luffy said, leaning against him. "I don't need a spell to like you."

Law's breath hitched. "You mean that?"

"Yep! You're my favorite person to adventure with. And you're cute when you're grumpy."

When the pink haze dissipated, everyone scrambled away from their accidental partners. Sabo and Ace fell apart, red-faced. Marco cleared his throat. Dragon looked away. Crocodile and Lucci pointedly ignored each other.

But Law didn't move. He looked at Luffy, who was still holding his hand. "The spell is gone."

"I know."

"Then why—"

"Because I meant what I said."

Law's lips twitched into a rare smile. "Idiot." He squeezed Luffy's hand.

From the ship, Usopp yelled, "Are you two done being lovey-dovey? We have a treasure to find!"

Luffy laughed, pulling Law toward the Sunny. "Coming!"

And as the crew set sail, the island's pink mist faded, but something else bloomed—something that needed no magic.
